It's done!
My ASL poem is finished! I will post it on here tomorrow for you to read. It's about deaf and hearing. I hope you like it!
Permanent
This is a poem I wrote after I found out that one of my best friends is moving away all the way to Illinois. She is an amazing friend and I'll miss her.
Nothing is permanent
Change always comes
Taking familiarity away
And where you're from
Everything changes
Your life, your home
Friends move away
And you're left alone
Thousands of miles apart
Dozens of homes away
Here and there
So far away
Friends change
You lose and you gain
Nothing stays the same
Except the pain
Different home
Different place
Everything's different
Even the days
But one thing remains
That'll never change
That's always exciting
And never strange
True friends stay the same
They're always there
They never leave
And stay with you everywhere
Nothing is permanent
Change always comes
Taking familiarity away
And where you're from
Everything changes
Your life, your home
Friends move away
And you're left alone
Thousands of miles apart
Dozens of homes away
Here and there
So far away
Friends change
You lose and you gain
Nothing stays the same
Except the pain
Different home
Different place
Everything's different
Even the days
But one thing remains
That'll never change
That's always exciting
And never strange
True friends stay the same
They're always there
They never leave
And stay with you everywhere

New Poem
As of right now I am working on a poem about deaf and hearing. It's for one of my favorite classes, which is ASL. It's an extra credit, I know, lame right? But I'm doing it nonetheless! I'm almost done so y'all might see it on here in the next few days.

Thanksgiving Poem
Well here is the poem I have promised. It's rather short, but at least it's finished!
Thanksgiving is the time
To give thanks
The time to come together
No matter the weather
Count your blessings
Do it one by one
You'll be old
By the time your done
Enjoy your life
Now and forever
Thank your family
For not saying whatever
Thanksgiving is the time
To give thanks
The time to come together
No matter the weather
Count your blessings
Do it one by one
You'll be old
By the time your done
Enjoy your life
Now and forever
Thank your family
For not saying whatever

Thanksgiving
While I have no Thanksgiving poem for you guys, I wish you all a happy Thanksgiving. I'm sorry I could not finish the poem in time. I'll try posting it in the following days even though it won't be Thanksgiving anymore.
Count your blessings because there are people who wish they have your life. Thank everyone in you're life and everything God has done for you. I have an awesome life even though I forget sometimes... You have an awesome life as well no matter what happens.

Tomorrow
I have a feeling I won't be able to finish the Thanksgiving poem on time so it might not be up here tomorrow. I've been a bit busy finishing some school work and preparing for Thanksgiving. I'm pretty sure only one person reads this blog so I guess it doesn't really matter. Anyway, I'll try finishing it tonight.

Veterans
I know this is a little late, but this is a poem I wrote about veterans. Here it is:
Veterans serve and protect
They sacrifice everything
So give them respect
They do it
For me and you
So thank them
For all they do
They are our heroes
That brought us here
Where we have freedom
And have nothing to fear
They do so much
Yet we do so little
They deserve the best
Because they are blessed
Thank a veteran
Each and everyday
Think of them
In each and every way
Veterans serve and protect
They sacrifice everything
So give them respect
They do it
For me and you
So thank them
For all they do
They are our heroes
That brought us here
Where we have freedom
And have nothing to fear
They do so much
Yet we do so little
They deserve the best
Because they are blessed
Thank a veteran
Each and everyday
Think of them
In each and every way
Thanksgiving Break
I'm sorry that it's been a while since I posted a new post. There was just a lot of things going on with school, but on the bright side, I have a whole week off! It's awesome being able to sleep in. I'm working on a Thanksgiving poem and I'll post it when it's done. Until then, I'll post some old poems.

Nature
I wrote the poem below because I realized how much we are destroying nature. Instead of caring for it, we destroy it and put buildings that cause pollution. I'm not a tree-hugger, don't get me wrong, I sometimes litter and do the worse possible things to plants, but I also recycle. Recycling plastic, paper, and aluminum cans can make a huge difference to the Earth.
They take away
The beauty of this world
In its place they leave
Something worth to grieve
Trees and flowers they poison
In the near future
They'll learn their lesson
Don't ruin nature
It's a gift
A wonderful treasure
All the greenery
Of the plants
The color changing leaves
Is the beauty that we recieve
They take away
The beauty of this world
In its place they leave
Something worth to grieve
Trees and flowers they poison
In the near future
They'll learn their lesson
Don't ruin nature
It's a gift
A wonderful treasure
All the greenery
Of the plants
The color changing leaves
Is the beauty that we recieve

I Wonder
This poem was not written by me, but was written for me by my best friend, Jamie, last year. She is an excellent poet, but she refuses to write them. Feel free to tell me what you think about it and I'll pass it on to her. Or better yet, why not tell her about it on her blog: razzifical.blogspot.com
I wonder what you're doing
Also where you are
Wonder if you're near me
Wonder if you're far
I wonder what you look like
If you remember me
Wonder if you miss me
The daughter you don't see
I wonder if you love me
I wonder if you live
I wonder if you have
New, replacement kids
I wonder if I'd like you
Or if you'd like me
I wonder if you ever loved
Tiny, little me
I say all that I wonder
I try to miss you, dad
But really it's your blunder
To leave the girl you had
I wonder what you're doing
Also where you are
Wonder if you're near me
Wonder if you're far
I wonder what you look like
If you remember me
Wonder if you miss me
The daughter you don't see
I wonder if you love me
I wonder if you live
I wonder if you have
New, replacement kids
I wonder if I'd like you
Or if you'd like me
I wonder if you ever loved
Tiny, little me
I say all that I wonder
I try to miss you, dad
But really it's your blunder
To leave the girl you had

November 11
Today is Veterans Day and I just want to thank all the veterans for their service. They have sacrificed so much for keeping each and everyone of us safe.
Today is also my mom's birthday. This is the poem that I wrote to her:
Happy Birthday to my mother
The woman who gave birth to me
Today is her birthday
And this is a greeting from me
May you have many more
Birthdays to come
To celebrate
All your wisdom
I never say thank you enough
For the things
You do and stuff
I love you more
Than words can say
You're the best
Today and everyday

Friend
This poem is about my awesome friend Kerrigan. A girl (I won't name who) was being mean to her the other day and made her sad. Here it is:
Don't belive
What they say
They're not true
And they will pay
You're more than that
They're just blind
To see what you are
Is really kind
They don't know
You're the best
They tell insults
Because they're a mess
You don't deserve it
You're a good friend
They're just bullies
And it needs to end
You are perfect
The way you are
Don't ever change
Cause you'll go far
Don't belive
What they say
They're not true
And they will pay
You're more than that
They're just blind
To see what you are
Is really kind
They don't know
You're the best
They tell insults
Because they're a mess
You don't deserve it
You're a good friend
They're just bullies
And it needs to end
You are perfect
The way you are
Don't ever change
Cause you'll go far

Chilly Winter Wind
Chilly winter wind
Against my face
Making me shiver
Without any grace
Leafless trees
All around me
Cold temperature
Everything's chilly
Goosebumps rise
Teeth chattering
Body shaking
Everything's falling
Falling snow
On the ground
Wind blowing
Without a sound
Sun is hiding
Behind a cloud
Darkness envelopes
Nothing's allowed
Against my face
Making me shiver
Without any grace
Leafless trees
All around me
Cold temperature
Everything's chilly
Goosebumps rise
Teeth chattering
Body shaking
Everything's falling
Falling snow
On the ground
Wind blowing
Without a sound
Sun is hiding
Behind a cloud
Darkness envelopes
Nothing's allowed

Just as Good
This is a poem that I wrote yesterday. After going to the NASCAR race and finding out there was a girl driver, I was pretty amazed. Danica Patrick is the driver's name. She inspired me to write this.
Girls are just as good as boys
Maybe even a little better
We are tougher
And harder to shatter
We're not afraid to cry
We never give up
We never say goodbye
Tell us no
We'll say yes
Tell us you're better
But girls are the best
We'll try anything
We put our minds to
We'll persevere
Cause it's what we do
You can try and break us
Like silly little toys
But that won't happen
Cause girls are as good as boys
Girls are just as good as boys
Maybe even a little better
We are tougher
And harder to shatter
We're not afraid to cry
We never give up
We never say goodbye
Tell us no
We'll say yes
Tell us you're better
But girls are the best
We'll try anything
We put our minds to
We'll persevere
Cause it's what we do
You can try and break us
Like silly little toys
But that won't happen
Cause girls are as good as boys

Weeping Willow
This is a poem that I literally just finished. I liked the thought of naming a poem Weeping Willow so I wrote this:
Weeping willow
With its sad leaves
It droops down
While it grieves
Resting by a river
Alone near the water
Where the moon shines
While the currents shatter
Weeping willow
Why so sad
I'm here for you
To make you glad
Swaying with the wind
Crying with the rain
Its leaves and roots
Reveal its pain
You're never forgotten
Little fellow
So stop grieving
Weeping willow
Weeping willow
With its sad leaves
It droops down
While it grieves
Resting by a river
Alone near the water
Where the moon shines
While the currents shatter
Weeping willow
Why so sad
I'm here for you
To make you glad
Swaying with the wind
Crying with the rain
Its leaves and roots
Reveal its pain
You're never forgotten
Little fellow
So stop grieving
Weeping willow
Special
This is a poem written by me a few days ago.
Have faith in
What you can do
You're special
You're one of the few
Everyone is different
No one's the same
Different talents
Different names
One of a kind
Yes you are
Hard to find
Near or far
A special gift
Is what you possess
It's extraordinary
I must confess
Never doubt yourself
Your future is bright
Everything you are
Is surrounded by light
Have faith in
What you can do
You're special
You're one of the few
Everyone is different
No one's the same
Different talents
Different names
One of a kind
Yes you are
Hard to find
Near or far
A special gift
Is what you possess
It's extraordinary
I must confess
Never doubt yourself
Your future is bright
Everything you are
Is surrounded by light

Pointless
What's the use of crying
It gets you nowhere
Even if you keep trying
It doesn't give you
What you want
Doesn't get you anywhere
So stop crying over there
It wastes your time
Stop crying
Laugh instead
Just keep trying
Save your tears
For happy momments
Cry with laughter
On silly comments
It gets you nowhere
Even if you keep trying
It doesn't give you
What you want
Doesn't get you anywhere
So stop crying over there
It wastes your time
Stop crying
Laugh instead
Just keep trying
Save your tears
For happy momments
Cry with laughter
On silly comments
