Halloween

Happy Halloween everybody!!! It's free candy day! How many of y'all are going trick or treating? I sure am. Who doesn't want free candy? Many people might think they are too old to go trick or treating, but they're wrong! I'm in high school and I still go trick or treating. That might sound a little childish, but who cares?! I love Halloween!!!

Running

This is a poem that was inspired by a movie.

After all that running
And you're finally home
All that hardship
Now you're not alone

Lived a hard life
But now you're done
No more difficulties
The challenges are gone

You're where you wanted
Achieved your dreams
Everything you've done
Was as hard as it seemed

You were strong enough
To do what's hard
Smart enough
To play the cards

Broken some hearts
Along the way
Did what you had to do
To be okay

Unfair

Why is life so hard
Why isn't it fair
Happy endings
Are always rare

Why the unfairness
That it brings
Why can't there be
No attached strings

No one knows
Why life is hard
No one can explain
Why there's no rewards

It's a roller coaster
It has ups and downs
It is also made of
Smiles and frowns

It's a challenge
That never stops
Throwing obstacles
That causes teardrops

Fear

This is a poem I wrote a while back.

Don't let fear keep you
From reaching your dreams
Don't be afraid to take risks
As terrifying as it may seem

You won't know
What you just missed
What fun you had
If you just took that risk

Don't be afraid
Of the consequences
They may be bad
But take some chances

Don't let fear run your life
You have much to explore
And so much to live for

Don't be afraid

For what it is

Make mistakes
No one's judging
Learn from them
And stop your grudging

Growing Up

This is a poem that I finished a few days ago.

Growing up is part of life
We are always changing
With every year
We are aging

At some point
We will leave home
We'll go somplace else
To start our own

We'll leave the nest
And become parents
Start a family
And use our talents

We'll have more responsibilities
With each passing year
We'll wish we're still children
Where all we do is cheer

We'll have broken hearts
Before we find the one
Get fired from jobs
Before we're done

But that's growing up
Wether you like it or not
It's part of life
So put everything you've got

Forgive

This poem was inspired by a movie that I saw.

We have the power
To forgive
It was given to us
To make it easier to live

It's not easy to do
It's hard
Even for me too

We should see the good
Not the bad
The happy
Not the sad

Forgive and forget
Is what they say
It's cheesy
But wise in a way

It'll make us feel better
To know we fogave them
Just start with a letter

Pass You By

This is a poem that I finished today during school. It was inspired by a song that I heard from a movie.

Don't let life
Pass you by
Live it, love it
Don't kiss it goodbye

Don't be blind
About what you see
Don't deny
Just let it be

Take some chances
Take some risks
Seize the opportunity
That exists

Live your life
To the fullest
Have no regrets
And be the bravest

Lost

I think a lot of people can relate to this poem.

We all get lost at some point in our lives
We feel all alone until help arrives
Won't know where to go to
Won't know who to turn to

Blind and lost, no sense of direction
Alone and confused, no concentration
Don't know who will ignore
And who will help when we explore

Two roads to choose from
One sets you free
The other traps you
So which will it be

Everything is lost
Feeling very torn
But that's the cost
The price of being born

This is a poem that I finished yesterday.

Never give up, fight the battle
Don't let them win, don't let them tattle
You won't know what you'll achieve
If you never give up, you'll never grieve

Don't think about how hard it is
Think of the adventure and not the pressure
If you never give up, you're always a winner
Win or lose, pro or beginner

Have confidence in yourself
Beleive in what you can do
To follow through

You're tough enough to never give up
Strong enough when things get rough

My Sunday has been filled with chores, chores, and more chores. Below is a poem that I wrote a few days ago.

Wishes and dreams do come true
It might take time, so don't be blue
Wish on candles or wish on stars
Do whatever it takes to get you far

Believe in all things fiction
Fairies and Santa, they're not illusions

In wishes and dreams do believe
Because you'll never know
What you'll achieve

Wishes and dreams
Can get you far
Out of this world
Into the stars
