A little late...
I know this is a little late, but I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. I know I did! Sorry if I haven't posted any more poems. When my break started, I guess I took a break from my blog too. But no need to fear, coming up is a new poem!

Explain
Today was the last day of finals and I can honestly say that I did pretty well! I thought I was going to fail my Geometry, but I passed with a 95 counting the 15 point curve!
Here is the poem I said I would post. It's one of the 3 poems I was working on. This poem is not based on me, thankfully! The unlucky ones have gone through this mess that the poem is about. I hopefully won't get to experience this.
Told myself
To forget you
Yet here I am
Facing you
Trying to rid you
Off my mind
The way you act
And be so blind
Don't want anything
To do with you
Didn't like the way
You didn't stay true
You were there
While I was here
You promised me
I had nothing to fear
Everything was a lie
From beginning to end
The day we met
And you began to pretend
I know the truth
Now explain to me
Why you lied
How can it be

In Our Hearts
I'm sorry I didn't post yesterday. Did you hear about the Connecticut shooting? I can't believe someone had the nerve to kill poor, innocent children. I hope that guy got what he deserved. Because of him, those kids won't get to get to have a chance at life. I can't imagine what those parents are feeling right now.
This poem I wrote a while back is about losing someone we love dearly. I hope this is a comfort to the people who lost loved ones in the shooting.
Death separates us
From people we love
Friends or families
They're up above
It takes away
A piece of our hearts
An illness or accident
It tears us apart
We grieve
And we cry
Until our eyes
Are dry
We feel an emptiness
A void that can't be filled
No matter what we do
No matter what we build
We miss them
With all our hearts
But we know
They'll never part
Their memories
We treasure
Never forgotten
Always a pleasure
Their knowledge
They impart
Forever they live
In our hearts

Nemo
Here is the Nemo poem:
Unique little fish
Looking for an adventure
Felt strong and confident
He went to find treasure
Disobeyed his dad
And touched the boat
When he turned around
There was a diver afloat
Captured by the diver
Separated from his dad
He was put in a tank
Which made him sad
Strangers all around
Being helpful and kind
But it was his dad
That he wanted to find
Strangers became friends
They helped him escape
From the man who was
A look-a-like ape
He found his dad
Along with a new friend
They made their way back
And that's how it ends
Idea
Yesterday, a friend of mine told me to write a poem about Nemo. You know, the cute little fish who gets taken away from his dad?! Well, I wrote it and I will post it on here later on.

14 Years
This poem is pretty much like the "Why" one. They're both about the same person.
14 years of wasted time
14 years of time has gone
14 years of second chances
14 years of missed dances
14 years he never tried
Never came
Never cried
14 years I've waited
14 years of disappointment
He's not here
And he's not near
Tired of waiting
For 14 years
Seeing if he'll come
After all these years
14 years taken for granted
Left alone and ignored
4 more years to go
Until I finally get bored
14 years of wasted time
14 years of time has gone
14 years of second chances
14 years of missed dances
14 years he never tried
Never came
Never cried
14 years I've waited
14 years of disappointment
He's not here
And he's not near
Tired of waiting
For 14 years
Seeing if he'll come
After all these years
14 years taken for granted
Left alone and ignored
4 more years to go
Until I finally get bored

Gone
Remember the three poems I said I was working on? Well, they're gone. My brother dropped the device that had the poems and now it's not working. I can try writing the things I remember in the poems, but I have no guarantee that it'll be the same. Sorry guys, but you have to wait a couple more days or weeks to read it.
Christmas is Here
I wrote this poem a month before December. That's how much I love Christmas!
Christmas is here
The happiest holiday
That comes once a year
Santa Claus is the talk
Of every girls and boys
He's jolly and nice
And brings everyone toys
Christmas music
In the air
Smells of spices
Here and there
The roasting of nuts
near the fireplace
Cozy and warm
During the holidays
Christmas lights
And Christmas trees
Displayed for everyone
For all to please
Snow all around
White everywhere
Frosty the Snowman
For all to share
The time to give
And be together
To witness the miracles
No matter the weather
Christmas is here
The happiest holiday
That comes once a year
Santa Claus is the talk
Of every girls and boys
He's jolly and nice
And brings everyone toys

Reality
Since I am in a good mood, I've decided to post another poem. I started this poem a few days ago and just finished today. This poem is kind of depressing (no surprise there). Here it is:
What's the point of living
If everything is planned
Where fate is unchangeable
And fun is banned
Reality is cruel and hard
It's never fair
It tries to put you down
Without a care
You have to follow the path
That was made for you
Everything you face
Comes with it too
Can't escape destiny
That you must meet
Can't dodge it
It can't be beat
Life is predictable
There is birth
With every death
And there is love
With every breath

A Rose Garden
I wrote this poem last night. It's a free verse (not rhyming). This poem is basically about someone that you loved and was once in your life, but is not anymore. I guess I got the inspiration from the book that I was reading last night. A friend told me that it reminded him of the book The Lorax. What do you think?
A rose garden
Once beautiful
And once filled the land
With its aroma
Its beautiful colors
Brightened the surroundings
Red and yellow here
Pink and white over there
Then everything changed
Rain poured down
Gray skies replaced
The blinding sun
Leaves were scattered
Petals were carried away
To a faraway place
By the storm
That swept the land
Brown grass
And dead rose bushes
Took place of the
Once beautiful scenery
It's aroma
Fills the land no more
Dust and dirt where
The rose garden
Once stood

Next Time
I have no poems that I really want to put on here tonight. I do, though, am working on 3 different poems. I have no exact date of when they'll be finished, but they will be on here. I'll have a poem up here tomorrow.
Here's a poem substitution:

Pageviews
Thanks to everyone who reads this blog! My page views are 350 plus already! Considering I just started in October, that's pretty good (to me)! Notice the punctuation marks are all exclamation? That's because I'm happy. I'm happy about the page views and something else! That something else is a little nerdy and lame. That something else is chess! I just beat the computer for the first time ever in chess (the setting was set to really easy)! It was really cool! Again, it's a little nerdy, I know.
Invisible, but Here
This poem was not written by me. It was written by the same person who wrote "I Wonder." This poem is about a person liking someone, but that someone doesn't know.
As I have previously said in my earlier poems, she is an amazing poet, but too lazy to write them. She wrote this poem last year. By the time you finish reading this poem, you'll see that she is a much better poet than me.
Do you know?
Even care?
Try to show
What's never there
Say it's so
It's really not
I say no
Yet, never stop
I try so hard
To be just friends
That's all we'll ever be
Until the end
If I could say
Just how I feel
Would you react?
Or is this real?
I'm content
But not for long
I need the chance
What's going on
You know what I mean
We match perfectly
Because I am for you
And you are for me

Why
This poem is a bit personal. I wrote it a while back along with other poems just like this one. Guess who it's talking about!
Why doesn't he care enough
To come and find me
To try and make things up
Why won't he
Why doesn't he find the time
To search for me
To do what's right
And come see me
Why didn't he say
I love you
Why doesn't he say
I miss you
Why did he run away
Why did he choose
Not to stay
Was it the responsibility
Or the everlasting fear
That tore him apart
When the time came near
In the mirror
What does he see
A free man, a father
Which will it be
In the mirror, what I see
Is a forgotten daughter
Who looks like me
Why doesn't he care enough
To come and find me
To try and make things up
Why won't he
Why doesn't he find the time
To search for me
To do what's right
And come see me
Why didn't he say
I love you
Why doesn't he say
I miss you
Why did he run away

Time
This year has gone by so fast. I can't believe it's almost Christmas. I wrote this poem when I realized that time is so valuable and irreplaceable. You can't buy time, you can only enjoy it.
Where has the time gone
Blink your eye
And before you know it
It's time to die
Time flies by
Without us knowing
It goes so fast
Without it showing
Don't waste time
Enjoy little moments
Don't take it for granted
And be absent
No one knows
How long we have
Here in this place
We're all just guessing
The amount of days
Make each and everyday count
Live like there's no tomorrow
Like your heart isn't breaking
An filled with sorrow

Where has the time gone
Blink your eye
And before you know it
It's time to die
Time flies by
Without us knowing
It goes so fast
Without it showing
Don't waste time
Enjoy little moments
Don't take it for granted
And be absent
No one knows
How long we have
Here in this place
We're all just guessing
The amount of days
Make each and everyday count
Live like there's no tomorrow
Like your heart isn't breaking
An filled with sorrow
